Seasonal Menus – Late Winter

It’s the end of another food week for us and here is what we ate:

  • Barley, beef and mushroom soup and barleycorn biscuits – stewing beef from Cascade Farms
  • Chicken from Stokesberry Sustainable Farm roasted with Rockridge Cidery apple cider, garlic and thyme
  • Lemon-thyme glazed turnips & carrots from Nash’s Organic Produce
  • Loki smoked salmon in a parmeson-cream sauce over homemade fettucini
  • Numerous kale salads and roasted cauliflower courtesy once again of Nash Huber
  • Freezer grub – leftover pulled smoked pork butt from Thundering Hooves that we smoked last fall along with homemade whiskey barbecue sauce
  • Lemon bars made from meyer lemons from California, found at PCC
  • Whole wheat cinnamon rolls made with brown sugar
  • Homemade granola with homemade fil milk yogurt
  • French toast from homemade whole wheat bread
  • Lots of homemade whole wheat buttermilk pancakes
